She felt trapped within herself. She felt trapped in the darkness; with no end in sight. No light. Nothing to stop her from falling further. Nothing to hold on to. No one to help her up, when she was falling.

She had felt trapped in the darkness for quite some time. She had lost sights on what it was like living out of the darkness. It was all she knew now. She couldn’t remember the life outside of it, or how it felt like to be truely happy. The feeling of feeling content with life was alien to her. She didn’t know it.

Her life had started to fall apart years ago, and the life she knew had slipped away from her. Her old self had slipped between her fingers before she could grasp it. The old Aase had disappeared, and taken all the happiness and light with it.

The new Aase was only a shell compared to the old one. She felt alone, and sad. She struggled with accepting the new her. She desperatly wanted to find her old self, but it wasn’t possible. She had to grieve the old Aase, and accept that the darkness had taken her. It wasn’t anything she could do anymore. She was gone.

AASE F/W 2024

This collection was inspired by depression and the grieving period of the Victorian era. The colors throughout the collection, black, grey, purple and white, were carefully selected to put an emphasis on the different stages of the grieving process, as they did in the Victorian era.

We have put great effort in making a high quality collection, which has solely been made of different kinds of wool, silk and cotton fabrics.

Make up by Julie Sinnes.

Pictures taken by Bella Mørk.
